Meet New Life Advance International

New Life Advance International (NLAI) is an interdenominational mission organization dedicated to taking the good news of Jesus Christ to the nations through holistic initiatives.

"Advancing the Kingdom of God through new life in Christ"

"We love seeing the body of Christ work together for His glory."

Chapelwood Foundation Impact
The Foundation gifted a $5,500 grant to NLAI for the purchase of a van. A common, everyday need they have is transportation for groups of children. NLAI takes multiple children to high schools, medical appointments (including vaccinations), church,
family units going to their scheduled court hearings, outings, etc. In addition, NLAI hosts short-term mission teams who help them with projects, interaction with our children, and raising awareness of their child sponsorship program that funds most aspects of the children's home. NLAI uses three, 15-passenger vans to provide the majority of that transportation. NLAI's goal is to buy a new van every 5 years.

New Life Advance International's Story
In Guatemala, over 17,000 children each year are orphaned, abandoned, or removed from their homes for neglect, abuse, and trafficking. Yet, there are only 105 licensed foster families in the country, and only 86 families trained and willing to adopt, of which 75% will take only one child under the age of 4.

New Life Children's Home (NLCH) was established in Villa Nueva, Guatemala in 1976 by Dr. Fred Jarvis, the founding president of NLAI, as a refuge and safe haven for orphaned, abandoned, and abused children. Its purpose is to provide love, safety, shelter, food, medical care, education, recreation, discipleship, and a family of belonging. NLCH is an extraordinary place where children are rescued from abuse, abandonment, or abject poverty in some of Guatemala's worst slums. At NLCH, each child receives 24-hours a day loving care, Christian education, and discipleship. At NLCH, they experience the love and joy of Jesus Christ.

New Life Christian School was founded in 1990 and is an integral part of NLCH's endeavor to "train up a child in the way he should go," not only for the children who live at NLCH but also for those living in the surrounding community. New Life Christian School currently enrolls children in grades Pre-K through 9th grade, with nearly 500 students!
